I have lived in Camino Villa for 35 years and have seen it all. I believe that this board is the first one to really get in there and get something done and I an very proud of that. It seems to me that most of the problems are with the rental trailers. The owners of these lots are not stepping up to the bat to get these cleaned up. I have one right beside me that is always a problem and looks awful. I am 64 years old but very willing to help anyway that I can but I want owners to do their part also. The City has not done their duty by us either but I am hoping that this will change. We can be what we need to be if people will help and those who will not need to be turned into the city. I believe if we stand together and work together as a neighborhood, we will win this fight but if we don't, we are all going to be out on the street and I for one do not want that. Let's all band together to save Camino Villa, after all it is our home.

Phil, Calvin went to the City Council meeting on Tuesday March 5, 2008. He was the only board member there. Again at this meeting we were talked about and not an a very good way. The Mayer stated that the letters that were sent in to them were going to be used against us to futher their Blighted process against us. They are going to put together a board of commissioners to come up with a plan to relocate us. This was also printed in the Wednesday Broken Arrow Ledger.
I feel that we need to have at least 2 or more of our board members to attend every City meeting and maybe get some one on that Board. We also need to ahve meetings with the county commissioners, as will as state law makers and we need to talk with RWD 4 Water District and other home owners associations that has been fighting with the city of Broken Arrow.
I have created an online community called "Camino Villa" Please join in on the discussion!
With the message board, you can view discusstion folders quickly in the left-hand column and read up to 20 messages at a time. You can even atach files (such as pictures and programs) directly to messages - just like e-mail. It's fast, easy, and efficient.
As the Forum "Host," We control the specific features of the Forum. The best way into my Forum is at the following URL:

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! But not in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma! Thanks to the City Councilors and Eminent Domain card they are trying to pull on the residence of Camino Villa. For some of us, this vision our forefathers had my no longer be a reality. We are human beings. We don have feelings. Some of our roots are deep in Broken Arrow. We do not want to move or go somewhere else! We were raised here, our children were raised here. How dare you sit back in your little narrow - minded world, and even think abut doing this sort of thing to a fellow human being! I hope you have a good night sleep.
Thanks

My husband went down by the Dumpster this afternoon, around 3:00 PM and observed the City of Broken Arrow Development Services taking pictures of the dumpster. They wre overflowing!! Thanks to a few ignorant people they are probably going to take the dumpsters away. We did not even have a chance to use the dumpsters for a few things that we wanted to get rid of.
Thanks

I think our monthly meetings are great, but we are spending way too much time on the what if's.
We need to focus on the future, and not dwell on the past. We all know how long we have lived here in Camino Villa, but Broken Arrow could care less.
We should put our efforts towards all working together, fix the things we can fix, and work on a solution. Saying things like "We will be gone in a year", or "They are going to take us over" is only making it worse, especially on the elderly. We have no proff that this is going to happen, so let's be positive and fix what we can.
We need to make the "HOA" (Home Owners Association) fee mandatory. Mostly because we have a lot of landowners, who are not only NOT paying the HOA fee, but are also NOT cleaning up thier lots. Perhaps it would make it easier to entice the owners to clean up their lots, if they had ownership in the HOA. But, if an invitation isn't enough enticement, a little threatening wouldn't hurt. We could target those lots with complaints letters from the HOA for different code violations.
These are just some of my thoughts after the HOA Meeting the other night, which I hope will help us unify and move forward with a positive outlook

I would like to know why some people think they are "ABOVE THE LAW" when it comes to keeping their lawns mowed, or to keeping their dogs in their own yard?
Thanks
